Proposed Marriage Protection Amendment (A) Only a marriage between one man and one woman shall be valid or recognized as a marriage in this Commonwealth, (B) and neither the Commonwealth nor any of its political subdivisions shall create or recognize a legal status identical or substantially equivalent to that of marriage for unmarried individuals.
Vote I - This is the Key Vote. It was to support the MPA as passed by the House, which included both items A and B. It failed 19-31.
Vote II - Was to support the MPA with altered item B language. It failed 23-27.
Vote III - Was to support the MPA with no item B. It passed 38-12. It was rejected by the House, no further action this session.
A Clear Choice - Family v. Planned Parenthood On Tuesday, 4-4-06, members of the Pa. House had set before them a clear choice. Rep. Daryl Metcalfe proposed amending the budget by transferring $4.43 million from Planned Parenthood (“Family Planning”) to Maternal & Child Health. It failed by a 92-106 vote. Progress has been made since 2002, when 50 House members supported such a transfer. Some
Reps who supported Planned Parenthood will confess their respect for
the organization and their
mission. Some will attempt to justify their vote and allege
Planned Parenthood does good. Condoms prevent abortions.
Where can poor people get a pap smear? None of this funding
provides abortion services. I
want to provide health services for the underinsured
or uninsured.
If we cut this funding, women will not receive
screening for breast and cervical cancer. Philadelphia
These allegations are false testimony. The Representatives
who voted against the amendment voted to
finance a racist entity - the largest abortion company in the world.
Every day, they seek to destroy the morals of our
young people. Our nation has never suffered before from the level of
Sexually Transmitted Disease - the CDC
reports that 65 million American are now infected with an incurable sexual disease. Also
during the ascendancy of
Planned Parenthood, our out-of-wedlock birthrate has grown 600%. For
the last 45 years, the agenda of PP has
created social anarchy. Philadelphia is a dying city because Family
Life is gone and the suburban counties are
following. It is no accident. From it’s founder, Margaret Sanger - “Our
objective is unlimited sexual gratification
without the burden of children” and “the marriage bed is the most
degenerative influence in the social order.” Those
Reps who voted “no” stood for an organization that is objectively evil
and opposes Judeo-Christian ethics. Bucks County

Supporting the Culture of Death This report is a partial listing of
corporations, foundations, and attorneys who support Planned
Parenthood (local or national). Their support directly promotes teen
promiscuity, venereal
disease, contraceptives, abortifacients, and abortion. During 2002,
6,208 mothers and babies
suffered the violence of abortion at PP in S.E. Pa. Avoiding these entities is not enough. Please
advise them that they are hurting teens, mothers, and pre-born people.
Remember,
many supporters of PP(199 in last reported year) wish to remain
anonymous. It’s appropriate
to inquire of those with whom you deal if they support Planned
Parenthood.
