![]() 34 Deadly Years As we begin our 34th year under Roe v. Wade, we curse the darkness it has brought to our Nation. Old Glory is shown above in the Distress Mode. The Abortion Industry reports that 47 million pre-born American human persons have been slain. Some 24 million mothers have had the fruit of their womb destroyed. Even more millions of accomplices - fathers, parents, abortionists, escorts, public officials - know what they have done and will repent the evil they have done - either on earth or at the Last Judgment. The unprecedented crime against God and His people continues on OUR WATCH. Each of us has an awesome responsibility. How will we be regarded on our Last Day? Anniversary Events January 19th12-1 p.m. - ROE RALLY at City Hall sponsored by Generation Life January 20th 7-8:30 a.m. - Vigil at Phila. STAND UP FOR LIFE RALLY, City Hall - 12 noon to 1 p.m. The Elephant in the Room Philadelphia continues to be a dysfunctional city. Murder of the born and pre-born continues at the highest level, as does abuse of parentless children left with City agencies. The term “drop-out” is commonly used to characterize the huge numbers of teens who quit high school - 30,000 in the years 2000-2005. Just 51% of ninth graders graduated from Philadelphia high schools in four years. Yet, we read that City prisons need more condoms. Ex-Mayor Goode began distribution in 1988. Sexual activity in prisons is prohibited by State Law, but laws, human or divine, have no standing in Philadelphia. Officials also continue the Rendell policy of conducting needle exchanges in Philly streets. Leading the fight for more condoms is Shabazz-El of Act Up, diagnosed HIV-positive in 2003 while serving six months on drug charges. In another move to improve life in the City, Councilman Ramos wants trans-fats banned in City restaurants. And let’s not forget the dramatic crusade to keep the “Gross Clinic” painting at Jefferson Hospital, which took $68 million. Meanwhile, chlamydia stalks the City, it is the most commonly reported disease in the U.S. It is very difficult to detect and results in many women becoming infected with pelvic inflammatory disease, a major cause of infertility, ectopic pregnancy and chronic pelvic pain. The Centers For Disease Control (CDC) has published its grim report for 2005. The following
shows the number of chlamydia cases and percentage rates per 100,000
people in
Philadelphia, Camden and Wilmington. # of reported cases 5,288 4,593 4,189 4,219 Rate per 100,000 people 177.2 153.5 139.5 140.5 As shown above, Philadelphia is no longer reported by the CDC as a single entity. The combination of Phila., Camden and Wilmington ranks number 5 in the number of reported chlamydia cases in the U.S. Philadelphia is the major contributor. Is it not possible for City Council to intellectually inquire into the central problem in this dying city? Can they refuse to address the rampant sexual promiscuity that has brought the City down? If enough citizens get involved, the refusal will stop. Contact and meet with your City Councilman. This office can help you with action plans. Let’s talk about the elephant. Plan B Promotion As previously reported, the FDA has made Plan B available over the counter (OTC) to females over eighteen without a prescription. Those under 18 are required to have a prescription. Plan B manufacturer, Barr Labs, has established pricing for drug companies, but offers lower pricing to Planned Parenthood (PP). PP has done some heavy lobbying to make Plan B a “normal medication” for U.S. youth. Getting the FDA to approve it for sale was a major achievement, and having no prescription requirement for those over 18 will boost sales even more. Plan B is a high-powered abortifacient/contraceptive known as emergency contraception (EC) or the Morning After Pill. To enhance sales even further, on 12-6-06, PP distributed the drugs free-of-charge. Generation Life and senior pro-lifers were in place at many PP sites in five counties. Plan B consists of two pills taken one at a time over 12 hours within 120 hours of having intercourse. This dose is equal to over 12 times the regular Pill. Another method of EC was also distributed by PP that day. Those who said they didn’t have sex in the previous 24 hours were given an eight-pill dose of regular birth control pills and told to take them four at a time when the girl deems necessary. These pills were distributed by prescription, but without the FDA mandated prescribing insert. Two girls age 17 were given Plan B and other EC methods using PP’s own protocol for prescriptions: someone is paid to write prescriptions without ever seeing the recipients. No medical history is taken, no exam is performed, no questions asked. Only the Plan B method of EC was made available OTC. All other methods still require a prescription. The Federal
Department of Health & Human Services will be advised of these
gross irregularities. Title X
funds are dispensed by this agency - i.e., your federal taxes used to
supply contraceptives and abortifacients
for young people who wish to fornicate.
![]() Praise the Lord! - by Edel Finnegan, Executive Director We started in January of 2006 to aggressively reach out to abortion-vulnerable women. We staffed our Hotline with more volunteers and the Family Life Educational Foundation placed many billboards that gave an extremely effective message. We had a tremendous response from over 100 women in need, 75% were seeking an abortion. We are sad that 24% of these women aborted and 6% miscarried shortly after calling us. The most amazing statistic is that 49% of our callers changed their minds and decided to carry their babies to term. The other 21% are still undecided or we have been unable to contact them. Please keep us in your prayers, as we hope to reach out even more in 2007 to abortion-minded women.
Ultimate Hardness For many years,
the physical pain suffered by pre-born humans during their abortion has
been well
documented. On 12-06-06, Rep. Chris Smith led an effort in the U.S.
House to pass legislation that called for
notification of this to a mother when her pre-born child of 20 weeks
was scheduled for abortion. The mother in
such a case would be advised that her baby would feel pain and an offer
would be made to anesthetize the
fetus. The legislation was placed on the fast track and a vote was
taken to suspend the rules, which requires a
two-thirds majority support. The vote was 250 to 162, which was
insufficient. In our local area, voting no to
notification and the offer of anesthesia were Brady, Fattah and Schwartz; voting yes were Dent,
Fitzpatrick,
Gerlach and Holden; not voting was Weldon.

The National Abortion Federation opposed the bill by citing a literature review of the Journal of the American Medical Association, which found it highly improbable that a fetus feels pain before the third trimester. Medical specialists testified to the contrary before a U.S. House Committee. Dr. Arnand, director of the Pain Neurobiology Lab at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, stated that not only can the fetus feel pain at 20 weeks, it is possibly more intense than that suffered by newborns or older children. Rep. King of Iowa pointed out that we have laws requiring that animals’ pain be lessened before they are slaughtered and lamented, “can’t we raise up an unborn baby to this level?”
It continues to puzzle why so few pro-lifers witness and pray at local abortion chambers. Bernard Gallagher of Cheltenham recently spoke about the Vigils. Some five years ago, he was stricken with ALS (Lou Gerhrig’s disease) and he was confined to his home. Fr. John McFadden, his parish priest, asked him recently what he missed the most. He replied that it was being present and praying at the 13th & Tabor abortuary! Pro-lifers need to be standing at the “Gates of Hell” to give hope to mothers at the brink of disaster. Stem Cells While the Death
Lobby continues their campaign to take control of human embryos, great
advances continue
to be made using other stem cells in a moral mode. a) A Texas company is using the pulp of baby teeth. The company involved, Bio Eden, Inc., is confident that baby teeth will equal the value of umbilical cord blood. b) In Chicago, scientists have grown human heart valves using stem cells from the fluid that cushions babies in the womb - an approach that may be used to repair defective hearts. In addition to helping adults, these valves will soon be used to help newborns with heart problems. c) At
the U of P, Dr. George Xu has discovered a new type of adult stem cell
that can be harvested from
human hair follicles. This discovery has attracted venture capitalists. Although it’s more than clear that Creation can supply stem cell needs, some will insist on the murder of human embryos. The New Jersey legislature has opted to use public funds for this evil. Braces at a Bargain Price
You Never Know The unlikely country of Nicaragua has outlawed all abortions, no exceptions are permitted. Its new president, our nation’s prior opponent, Daniel Ortega, totally supports the ban. This action was taken despite international pressure from countries such as Sweden, who have threatened to stop financial aid. While our South Dakota referendum failed (56%-44%), troubled Nicaragua is on its way. Which is the underdeveloped country?

S.E. Pa. Stands Up The annual Stand Up For Life Dinner drew over 1,400 pro-lifers to the Phila. Sheraton. Dinner Chairs Stewart and Eileen Stone saw them leave with a lighter spirit and surely renewed resolve to secure justice. Mark Forrest, proved to be a marvelous artist, and a very courageous and insightful human being. He and his wife Muriel have six sons - one of whom has returned to the Lord and two others have special needs and are battling nerve conditions which leave them blind and confined to wheelchairs. He explained how Jesus guides he and his wife through these difficulties. His reflections brought many to tears. Dr. Theresa Burke, founder of Rachel’s Vineyard accepted the Pioneer Award, Mark Houck, former Generation Life educator, received the Chastity Award and Pastor Benjamin Sheldon, Presbyterian Pro-Life Council, accepted the Defender of Life Award. The Lynch Award, awarded to assistors of the handicapped, was given to Mark Forrest. The Forrest’s have created a foundation to assist parents of severely impaired children. The John Paul II Award went to Marguerite and Bob Peluso for their superlative care given at home for over 8 years to their husband and father, Robert Peluso, Sr. It was a wonderful evening and we look forward to 2007 when we will meet again for a night of camaraderie.
Now 40% It was not on page 1, but the secular press did pay some note to another horrendous result of the Sexual Revolution. They reported that the U.S. out-of-wedlock birth rate reached 40%. The actual percent is 36.8%. The AP story - “Several factors may be contributing to the trend.” That same source gave a “not to worry” addendum - “just because the mother is not married does not mean the father is not around.” The writer might have gone to Webster and found the single factor listed - fornication. It’s an ugly word and now out of use. In earlier decades, a high percentage of unmarried couples who conceived a child did marry and become a family. The Heritage Foundation reports that today, only 10% of couples who begin their relationship with a child born outside of wedlock, remain together. Our young men educated by Planned Parenthood consider the marital act as a right and their female partner as an object. The out-of-wedlock birth rate in Philadelphia has been over 60% for many years. The U.S. teen birth rate is the highest of all industrialized countries.

Black Tuesday Are You There? Pro-life
leaders continue to comment on how few able citizens in S.E. Pa.
witness and pray at area
abortion chambers. One priest has cited the similarity to Calvary,
where so few followers of Jesus stood
beneath the Cross. The need for people to be present at the killing
places is certainly great, yet easy. Counselors are in place, but those
in support are few. Peaceful witnessing in private or communal prayer
is
a positive, loving act. So many would-be aborting mothers have
testified, “When I saw the people praying
for me, I couldn’t go through with it.” You will not regret coming. You
will be helping mothers and babies,
you will be helping yourself. Families are most desirable - the
presence of children is most conducive to
conversion. No picture can match the sight of a child with their mother
or father. Generation Life Hits the Road! ![]()

we

we adults. Write H.H.S. Now! The FDA has opened a 90 day time frame, ending 12-28-06, to accept public comments on the use of aborted fetal cell lines for future vaccine development. This is clearly an unethical proposal, reeking with disrespect for human persons. Such an immoral procedure will encourage harvesting and more violence against the remains of human fetuses. These vaccines can be obtained from bacteria, insect cell lines and chick embryos. Please write to: Secretary Michael O. Leavitt, The U.S. Dept. of Health & Human Services, 200 Independence Avenue, S.W., Washington, D.C. 20201. Unintended Circumstances For many centuries, Muslims sent huge armies and navies against the Christian nations of Europe. Such warfare is no longer necessary. Shortly after WWII, the people of Europe embraced the twin evils of contraception and abortion. They listened to the Prince of Lies through the mouth of International Planned Parenthood, et al. In the subsequent years, every country of Europe has depopulated itself. As well reported, Muslim people are filling the vacuum. These great sins of contraception and abortion are objectively evil by their very nature, but the current condition of Europe reflects how terrible the unintended consequences can be when we reject the Divine Creator’s great gift. Will we Americans learn from Europe’s plight? Not until the Contraception Silence ends. It remains the seed of the Culture of Death. Promiscuity, abortion, IVF, human embryo stem cell research all flow from the original “bad seed.” Events Mass of the Holy Innocents - Thursday evening, December 28th, 7:00 p.m. at St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church, Almshouse & Meetinghouse Rds., Jamison. The sale of these plates will be helpful to pregnancy and adoption centers and will certainly raise the consciousness of innumerable motorists. Worth Reporting Christine O’Donnell ran in the Republican Primary for the only U.S. House Seat in Delaware. She was defeated, but began a write-in campaign for the General Election. Her platform was against abortion and embryonic stem cell research. She amassed 11,127 votes, considerably more than three other third party candidates who were on the ballot. Rich food for thought. Four More Years We didn’t see much of Senator Specter during the recent election period. Immediately after Santorum’s defeat, Mr. Specter opined that Rick should have been more “centrist - more pragmatic.” Subsequently, Pres. Bush sent his judicial nominations to the Senate Judiciary Committee, so that the Senate would act before the change in January. However, Mr. Specter has spoken, “he will not move the nominations during the lame duck session.” Patrick Toomey, we are grateful for your youth. Two years ago, his impending defeat of Sen. Specter was derailed by Pres. Bush and Sen. Santorum, an event that has affected voters. Philip Kline Another sad report from this recent election was the defeat of Philip Kline, who was running for re-election as Attorney General of Kansas. During the last few y ears, he has pursued Planned Parenthood in his state for their policy of protecting child abusers. All states, including Pa., have ordinances which state that young females under a specific age, usually 13 to 15, who have sexual intercourse have been assaulted, i.e., the male perpetrator has committed a felony. PP, throughout the U.S. has elected to protect these felons. Kline has been relentless to the point where the Abortion Industry raised huge sums to defeat him. They succeeded. We hope that we will see some useful activity in our state. Unfortunately, the center for these crimes in Pa. is Philadelphia, where DA Lynn Abraham will not move. Along with PP, she has no feeling for the young girls savaged by male predators. November

![]() Pray - Fast - Vote All three are obligations we have. Some of us accept the first two, but wrongly downplay voting. Our religious leaders tell us we should not. Every vote does count. The pollsters and pundits may disagree. Not only are elections often decided by the narrowest of margins, but beyond that, each citizen has a duty to vote and doubly so when moral issues exist. Pro-lifers often use the term “crucial election,” and that is especially true in this election. Good and Evil compete on the ballot. The Pro-Life PAC of S.E. Pa. has prepared Voter’s Guides that indicate how you can choose the Good. The PAC has endorsed - Rick Santorum for U.S. Senate and Lynn Swann for Governor. The PAC emphatically endorses Mike Fitzpatrick for the U.S. House and John Williamson and Tom Murt for the Pa. House. For information on all of the other candidates, call the PAC at 215-885-4237 for a voter’s guide or visit our web page. One Victory As previously reported, we encountered serious failures in the Pa. Legislature this year. There was no reduction in the public funding of “Family Planning,” the Marriage Protection Amendment was defeated in the Senate, and no legislation to force PP, et al, to report rape and sexual abuse against young females. The single win was the passage of H.B.1591, 155-40 in the House, which mandates that abortion companies follow the same safety regulations and distress reports that hospitals must follow when performing surgery. As mundane as this measure is, 40 House members voted “no.” 24 were from our area - Cornell, Ross, Bishop, Blackwell, Cohen, Curry, Evans, Gerber, James, Josephs, Kirkland, Leach, Lederer, Manderino, Myers, Oliver, Parker, Roebuck, Shapiro, Thomas, Vitale, Waters, Williams, Youngblood. The Senate passed the measure 41-8, 7 of the 8 are from this area - Fumo, Hughes, Kitchen, Tartaglione, Washington, A. William, C. Williams. So, a bill which merely has abortion companies follow the same procedures as a hospital was rejected by 31 legislators from S.E. Pa. Once again, abortion supporters publicly display their disregard for women’s health and safety. In this instance, abortion companies would incur a minuscule amount of inconvenience in deference to the care of the woman. These 31 legislators made their choice - abortion over women. When Will They Accept Truth? The local press is currently reporting on their investigations of foster child care in Philadelphia. The accounts are extremely depressing - many young children have died, have been neglected or have been severely abused. Certainly, many people should be charged and punished and case managers should be held liable for their malfeasance. But can’t City authorities point to the Cause and Solution? Years ago we did not encounter this problem of huge numbers of young children adrift in the City with no parents - no families. This is another evil phenomena inflicted on society by the Sexual Revolution, via Planned Parenthood and their ilk. Surveys are not required. Even those responsible know the cause - lack of Family Life. They will not come forward. They have their agenda and the victims are irrelevant. We see the same intentional blindness overseas. Africa is gripped with AIDS. Some 1.9 million children are infected. UNICEF predicts that by 2010, over 18 million will have lost a parent to this deadly disease. Yet, it is widely know that the country of Uganda has reduced HIV by 70% linked to a reduction of casual sex of 60%. One of the strongest proponents of this successful model is Edward Green, professor at Harvard’s School of Public Health. He admits to being a “liberal” who promoted “condom social marketing.” Uganda’s success converted him to the chastity approach because it is pro-health. The numbers don’t lie, but anti-lifers do. Solebury School Juniors and Seniors of this private school were brought to the Warminster Planned Parenthood abortion chamber on a recent Friday, which is their weekly killing day. On this “Field Trip,” the students were taken into the building and outfitted with the yellow “Escort” vests which are worn by the chamber’s agents. It was a blessing that legitimate media people were present - a columnist from Bucks County Courier Times and a writer from the Philadelphia Diocese’s Catholic Standard & Times. The Courier Times reporter was permitted to enter the building, the Catholic Standard journalist was not. ![]() The PP “escorts” indicated that they were there to protect the women from “those people.” The reporter pointed to the pro-lifers at prayer and asked, “Do you mean them?” Solebury teacher, Jason Gordon indicated that the students were there to study civic activism. Asked why they were not permitted to speak with the pro-life people, which included Generation Life Educators, Gordon replied that he would give the students a phone number for the local Catholic Church. Mr. Gordon’s wife works at the chamber. Solebury students deserve a real education, not anti-life indoctrination. The Supreme Court never heard her speak. On Nov. 8th, the Court is expected to again hear testimony on Partial Birth Abortion, where the baby is killed as its body is outside the womb.
